I spent most of my life believing that someone else knew what was best for me. I was always searching for the next vitamin, the next book, the next doctor, the next teacher that would heal me and make me whole. Only once I stopped searching outside of myself and began to dive into the innate wisdom of my own body did I begin to heal physically and mentally, allowing my own truth and wisdom to lead the way. Both Soma+iq breathwork and Kundalini yoga bring you into the profound wisdom of the body, allowing you to trust in its language, and guiding you towards wholeness and well-being.
I found Kundalini yoga about 11 years ago when I was struggling as a young mother with an auto-immune disease, and immense overwhelm. My therapist recommended I try Kundalini yoga, and from the first class, I was hooked. It brought me into my body in a deliberate way that I had not experienced before and allowed the stress to move through, opening up pathways for energy to flow more freely. It even helped my thyroid start working again, and I was able to come off medication.
I found Somatic breathwork at another challenging time in my life, when I needed something to help me deal with very stressful events. The guided breathwork journey felt immensely powerful as I was held by a loving witness who guided me intuitively deeper into the layers of my body that held onto trauma and stress so tightly. Not pushing it away or trying to fix it, but lovingly allowing whatever needed attention allowed for greater freedom and self-expression to emerge.
